My Moon, Chapter 29 pg 8

Klai wrinkled his nose at the big puppy’s cheeky expression before standing on his toes to reach up and tap the well-shaped lips. “Such a biter…”

The taller man, who had been kissed, laughed with delight. Panli leaned down and rested his forehead against Klai’s. Klai smiled softly, locking eyes with him.

   At that moment…

They gazed into each other’s eyes.

   They held each other close.

   And they…

   “I love you.”

   “Love you too.”

   …confessed their love.

“Puppy… there are more marks than I expected.”

The “puppy” lying on the bed chuckled lightly before saying, “Just a little…”

Klai plopped down beside the big puppy after coming back from the bathroom. He already knew the other had left marks on his body, but he didn’t expect there to be this many. Klai could still vividly recall his own expression when he saw the red bruises reflected in the mirror.

Klai’s eyes widened, and his mouth dropped open in shock…

   “Puppy…”

“Are the marks on your collarbone darker than the others?” Panli asked.

Klai pursed his lips and nodded slightly, “Yeah… there’s even a bite mark…”

Panli, lying on the bed, laughed with amusement. He scooted closer to Klai, wrapping both arms around his waist before nuzzling his face into Klai’s lap as he always did.

“That’s because this puppy is fierce~”

“Does the puppy want to be taken to the temple and left there?” Klai teased.

Panli burst into laughter before saying, “KhunKlai… don’t be so mean.”

Klai shook his head lightly, a small smile forming as the puppy rubbed his cheek affectionately against his lap. One slender hand moved to gently stroke the golden blonde hair. Then, a vibrating notification sound drew his attention.

   Bzzzt~

The free hand reached for the phone on the nightstand. Panli, who had been resting on Klai’s lap, quickly sat up and said in an annoyed tone…

“Who the hell is calling my wife this late at night?”

Klai burst out laughing before saying, “Your father-in-law, that’s who.”

   “For real, KhunKlai?”

   “Really.”

After answering the big puppy, Klai quickly picked up the call.

   “Yes, Dad…”

[Have you gone to bed yet, son?]

   “Not yet, Dad…”

   [Oh…]

   “Is something up, Dad?”

[Uh, oh… nothing, son. I just finished some work and was thinking of you, so I wanted to call and chat.]

“Oh… I remember we just talked a few days ago, right?”

   [Uh, yeah… that’s right.]

Klai narrowed his eyes slightly, as if trying to catch something suspicious from the other end, because his father’s tone and words seemed highly dubious.

   “Dad…”

   [Listen, son… the butter cookies that… that…]

“…the ones Aunt Lin brought to my condo, right?”

   […]

Klai stayed silent, listening to the sound of his father’s breathing, before deciding to continue the conversation.

“I haven’t finished eating them yet, Dad.”

   [Oh, uh… right, son.]

   “...”

   [Klai…]

   “Yes, Dad.”

[Thank you, son… for always being my happiness.]

   “...”

[…for being my love, my everything.]

   “...”

[…and for making our family complete, as it is now.]

“Klai has to thank Dad too for raising me so well.”

   […]

“For making Klai understand so many things in life.”

   […]

“Until I became the person I am today.”

[I love you, Klaijai with all his heart.]

No matter how much time passes…

This sentence… will always hold value in his heart.

   “I love Dad too…”

[So… is you sleeping alone tonight?]

The person asked pursed his lips to hold back a smile before saying, “Did Aunt tell Dad about Panli?”

   [Yes, son.]

The reason Klai never feared that his dad wouldn’t accept him dating a man was because, back in high school, he had asked his dad…

“Dad… if I don’t like women, would you be okay with that?”
