Special Chapter 3 pg 2

   Our little son…

Let’s go make Mama Klaijai happy…

“Hey, little son… don’t go peeing over there, buddy…”

The new “dad,” who was setting up a small tent for the little son, quickly stood up to scoop up the mischievous pup who looked ready to pee on Mama’s favorite rug. Panli placed the little son on a tray lined with a large white sheet. He had prepared the tray carefully to train the pup to relieve himself in the right place.

“Good boy…” the “dad” praised the little son for obediently peeing on the tray, before letting the little troublemaker continue exploring the house.

After welcoming the little son, Panli had to rush to pick up supplies for him that he’d ordered from the store. Then, he dropped off chubby-cheeks, the makeshift babysitter, at Your Sky shop before hurrying back home to prepare a surprise for Mama Klaijai. Since Klaijai had gone to pick up butter cookies from home today, Panli had enough time to set up the surprise.

After letting the little son roam and explore the new house, Panli returned to assembling the sleeping tent. It didn’t take long to finish, and he moved on to putting together a large flower arrangement.

   “Woof! Woof!”

The “dad” looked up when he heard the little son’s barks. He gave a small smile, seeing the chubby puppy playfully teasing a yellow ball. The little son crouched low, staring at the ball before pouncing on it. The soft growls, as if baring his tiny teeth while biting the toy, prompted Panli to warn…

“When Mama gets here, I will bring you into the tent first, okay… You have to be quiet then, no loud noises.”

   “…Woof!”

Though he knew the little son wasn’t responding to him and was likely barking at the yellow ball that rolled away, it still made Panli break into a wide smile as he thought…

Now that he’s starting to truly feel what “family” means,

He’s beginning to understand so much more…

   Like…

The simple happiness that comes just from watching.

He shifted his gaze from the little son and stood up to arrange various items in their proper places. Panli stepped back to admire the large wooden crate in one corner of the living room, then glanced at the blue teepee tent next to the long sofa.

Panli nodded slightly, satisfied with everything. He was about to go pick up the little son, who was lying on the floor chewing the yellow ball, when the sound of the gate opening and the familiar hum of an engine made him pause. Panli looked out the window and saw a white Audi A5 quickly pulling into the house.

At that moment, Panli hurriedly strode over to scoop up the little son and brought him into the teepee tent. He crouched down to the chubby puppy’s level, raising a finger to the little son, who stared back with bright, innocent eyes as always.

“I’m going to go greet Mama… Don’t come out of the tent yet, okay, buddy?”

   “…”

“You have to wait… wait in this tent first.”

   “…”

“Do you understand what Papa is saying?…” Panli asked, starting to doubt whether his three-month-old son could comprehend his words.

   But…

   “Please cooperate with me, okay?”

The little son crouched low, staring at him like that. Panli gave an affectionate smile before standing up and hurrying out to greet “Mama Klaijai,” who had just returned home.

“Why are you back so early today?”

“And why does the pup’s question sound so strange today?” The smaller figure, unloading things from the car, turned and narrowed his eyes at him. Panli swallowed hard, thinking…

Damn… that question was super suspicious.

Because normally, he would ask Klaijai…

“Why are you back so late? … I missed you so much.”

Panli would ask Klaijai this every time… whether he returned earlier or later than usual.

“Well… the pup just wanted to try changing the question for once.”

   “…”

“If I keep asking the same thing over and over, I’m afraid KhunKlai will get bored,” Panli said while walking over to take everything from his lover’s hands. “…Let me carry those.”

Klaijai pointed a finger at his face before saying, “Pup… you’re acting suspicious.”

   “You are overthinking…”

   “We’ll see about that…”

Panli swallowed again as he watched his lover walk ahead. He quickly strode to follow him into the house, thinking…

My wife is so damn scary…

   I wouldn’t dare mess with her…

“Pup… what’s this?…” Klaijai stopped in the living room, looking between a teepee tent and a wooden crate containing a food bowl, a bed, and the pup’s toys, before turning back to him.

   “Well…”

Panli spoke softly, his eyes fixed on the blue tent to make sure his little son was still waiting inside. A wide smile spread across his face when he saw his beloved Little Son slowly crawling out bit by bit.

When Klaijai noticed Panli’s broad smile, he turned to look at the teepee-shaped tent. Immediately, he saw the small figure slowly crouching down, almost lying flat on the ground, mimicking the puppy lying in the blue tent. Then, Klaijai called out to the little son in a gentle voice…

   “Little one…”

   “…”

“How did you end up here?”

Panli set his things down on the ground and walked over to sit beside the small figure, who was crouching low while calling the little son. He looked at the slender hands spread out and pressed against the stone floor. Softly, Klaijai wiggled his fingers before continuing…

“You came out to find…” Klaijai paused, then looked up at him.

   “Mama… Mama Klaijai…”

Klaijai, whose eyes were now glistening more than usual, gave a small nod before turning back to call the little son again. “…Can you come out to find Mama?”
