Chapter 20:
P. Panli: Should be at Khun Klai’s condo in about 30 minutes, ka.
glaijai: Puppy, don’t ride too fast.
P. Panli: ok, ka
The phone was placed on the desk after reading the puppy’s reply. The owner of a gentle smile stood up from the chair to grab the cactus plants from the balcony, bringing them inside after they’d soaked up enough sunlight during the day. The two tiny plants were placed back on the desk in their usual spot.
Klai looked at the cactus pot decorated with a crescent moon, a wide smile spreading across his face. But the phone’s vibration pulled his attention away from his beloved plants. His slender hand grabbed the phone, and seeing the caller’s name on the glass screen, he answered without hesitation.
“What’s up, Pie?”
[Klai… just calling to say we booked the presentation practice room.]
Klai let out a relieved sigh, as he’d been worried all the library workrooms would be fully booked. “Hearing that makes me feel so much better.”
[Same here, I was stressing out… We booked it for 3 p.m.]
“Perfect… Should I let New and the others know in the group chat?”
[No need, Klai. Mai will handle it.]
“Alright then.”
[That’s all I had… Too lazy to type, so I called instead.]
Klai laughed softly before saying, “I must’ve gone to lead an aerobics dance for the grandpas and grandmas in the village today. That’s why I’m so tired and too lazy to type like this.”
[Yup~… super tired, but it was fun.]
“Okay… then Pie, go rest.”
[Alright… see you tomorrow!]
“Sure.”
Klai hung up with his close friend. But instead of placing his phone on the desk like usual, he didn’t. After ending the call with Pie, something occurred to him, and Klai decided he should ask for some advice from his three close friends.
“Even though Pie, Mai, and Kant don’t have much experience with love… they probably have some good advice, right?” he murmured softly to himself, thinking hard. “…It’s better to brainstorm together than to figure it out alone.”
With that decision, Klai swiped his phone screen to open the LINE app and created a group chat named “Mission: (Help Klai) Win Moon’s Heart.” He invited Kant, Mai, and Pie to join. Klai glanced at the group name again, shaking his head, ready to change it because he was afraid his friends would tease him. But a flurry of incoming messages made him realize…
It was too late.
KantHimself: I love the group name.
KantHimself: No need to guess what this group’s for.
No need to change the group name now…
Ppie: Was about to go to bed.
Ppie: Now I’m wide awake, lol.
