My Moon, Chapter 20 pg 2

My Moon, Chapter 20 pg 2

MaMay: Didn’t you tell us this morning that you two already confessed your feelings?

MaMay: So what’s left to “win” about, Klaijai?

MaMay: Hasn’t Panli already given you his whole heart?

Klai started to wonder if he’d made the right choice. It felt like he’d created this group just to let his friends tease him until he died of embarrassment. But after thinking it over again, he realized he hadn’t been wrong to make the group—just that he’d picked the wrong name. Mai was right: he’d already won Moon’s heart. Shaking his head, Klai thought to himself… What was I thinking when I came up with this name?

glaijai: Let me change the group name real quick.

KantHimself: Hey! No need to change it.

   KantHimself: I love it.

KantHimself: Who else likes it, +1.

   Ppie: +3, for sure.

   MaMay: +1

KantHimself: Even though the result is unanimous, isn’t KhunKlai, who belongs to someone special, gonna give a plus too?

Klai gave a shy smile before tapping on the keyboard.

   glaijai: +1000

   Ppie: Whoa, a thousand pluses?

   MaMay: LOL

   glaijai: It’s for Panli…

KantHimself: I’m stepping out for a sec to recover from the secondhand embarrassment.

   Ppie: Same, lol @KantHimself

MaMay: Don’t worry, I’ll keep Klai company.

KantHimself: Now that you two understand each other, go all in, yeah?

Klai smiled softly as he looked at the messages on the glass screen. This morning, he called his three close friends to tell them about confessing his love to Panli. Klai thought that back when he was secretly watching Moon from afar, these three friends were always there to support him. Now that he’s finally by his moon’s side, they deserved to know too.

   glaijai: So…

glaijai: Where do I even start?

   Ppie: Ready to give advice.

Ppie: …Even though I here have never had a boyfriend.

   MaMay: Oh, Pie, LOL

KantHimself: Don’t single out Pie, I’m in the same boat.

glaijai: At least Mai has had some experience.

MaMay: My last boyfriend was back in grade 11.

   KantHimself: LOL, we’re doomed, Kla

   glaijai: …Not doomed at all.

glaijai: For stuff like this, you don’t need someone with tons of experience.

glaijai: Because I just want a little bit of advice.

   KantHimself: Advice about what?

   Ppie: So exciting!

   MaMay: Shit!

MaMay: Scared my Wi-Fi friend’s gonna crash.

   glaijai: Mai, really?!

   KantHimself: LOL, he’s shy.

glaijai: It’s not as wild as you all are thinking!

   glaijai: sent a sticker

Klai sent a sticker of a sulky rabbit crossing its arms to his three close friends. They all spammed back with laughing cartoon stickers. He couldn’t believe how cheeky his friends were being.

   Ppie: Stop teasing Klai already.

Ppie: Just tell us what’s up, Klai. We’re ready.

Ppie: (Even though I’ve never had experience, I promise I’ll Google it for you.)

Pie’s latest message gave Klai a headache, but he couldn’t help chuckling fondly at this inexperienced friend who was ready to help wholeheartedly.

glaijai: So, Panli is coming over to my condo.

glaijai: I wanted to ask everyone for advice on what to do besides chatting, watching movies, or listening to music.

glaijai: Are there any other fun activities?

glaijai: I’m worried Panli might get bored since my place doesn’t have much, and I don’t have any games.

   glaijai: Li likes playing games.

KantHimself: If I tell the truth, you’ll think I’m dragging it into something naughty again.

MaMay: LOL, just saying that already sounds naughty, Kant.

   Ppie: Seriously, though.

Ppie: For me, just having the person I like around makes it impossible to be bored.

Ppie: You don’t need extra activities.

Ppie: Because I probably wouldn’t like anything more than him.

KantHimself: Is this really someone with no dating experience?

   MaMay: LOL

   MaMay: lolol

   Ppie: For real, @KantHimself

Ppie: Mom says to keep that purity and cuddle it to sleep.

Klai smiled and laughed at the messages his close friends were exchanging. Maybe he didn’t really need advice, but Klai just wanted his loved ones to be part of every moment—whether he was happy, worried, or now, when everyone was joking around more than giving advice. It gave him the answer he needed.
