My Moon, Chapter 26 pg 2

“Right… I was planning to shower with KhunKlai.”

   “Hey, puppy!”

The taller man laughed gleefully before saying, “But KhunKlai probably saw through me and showered first.”

Panli’s words made him blush with embarrassment. Klai knew that when their relationship fully blossomed into one of lovers, they might share a deeper connection someday. He’d have time to prepare for that day. But Klai forgot to consider that before that time came, he’d need to brace himself for Panli’s teasing, slightly naughty remarks. He understood that couples often shared playful banter like this, so he didn’t see Panli as crude—just that Klai wasn’t used to it yet.

Hearing it so directly for the first time made him shy like this,;_

He didn’t even know how to respond…

Klai stood quietly, letting the taller man hug him, before saying, “Well… Panli, go shower first, then we’ll talk.”

“Okay…” Panli loosened his embrace and walked to the desk. He rummaged through a black leather bag, pulling something out before returning to Klai with a neatly folded stack of white shirts. “Brought you some shirts.”

   “…”

Klai’s almond-shaped eyes shifted to the several shirts stacked in Panli’s hands. “New collection from the shop?”

“Not a new collection from the shop.”

   “…”

“But this collection belongs only to you.”

   “You mean…”

“I mean I designed and had them made just for you to wear.”

Klai reached for the folded shirt and unfolded it to take a look. A sweet smile appeared on his gentle face when he saw the embroidered design of a small white bunny lying on a crescent moon near the left chest. But in the next moment, his slender brows furrowed slightly as he noticed the full size of the shirt. “Panli... is this your size?”

“Yeah... I picked this size because I wanted you to wear it to sleep.”

“...” The listener glanced up at the tall figure standing there with a subtle smile.

“If you wear this shirt to sleep... you’d probably look super cute.”

Klai couldn’t help but smile. He shook his head lightly before saying, “Guess I’m not cute in your eyes right now, huh...”

“No way... that’s not what I meant.”

   “...”

The big puppy hurriedly placed the shirt in his hands back on the nearby shelf and pulled Klai into a hug. He rested his chin on Klai’s shoulder, speaking in a coaxing tone.

“What I meant was... you’re already super cute, and if you wear the shirt I got you, you’d be even cuter.”

“...” Klai let out a soft laugh.

“Laughing like that... you get it now, right?”

“Oh... I understood from the start, just wanted to tease the puppy.”

   “Ugh...”

The big puppy let out a dramatic sigh before pulling away from the hug. “I’m out here loving you, and I shouldn’t have fallen for your trick.”

Klai burst into laughter at the big puppy’s words. The other scrunched his nose at him, as if saying, “I’m sulking now,” before turning back to grab something from his leather bag. This time, he returned with a gray towel draped over his shoulder and a set of pajamas in his hand.

“Is the bathroom in your bedroom?”

“Yeah, yeah...” Klai said, leading the tall figure into the bedroom. He figured Panli already knew where the bathroom was but was being polite by not entering his bedroom without permission.

“I’m gonna sneak some of your soap, and I’ll come out quick so you can sniff me.”

Klai laughed and nodded enthusiastically. “Okay.”

Klai watched the tall figure disappear into the bathroom. Once the door closed tightly and he heard the faint sound of the lock from inside, he shifted his gaze to the shirt in his hands. Klai decided to take off the t-shirt he was wearing and slipped on the shirt instead.

His slender hands buttoned it up only to mid-chest, as he usually left the top few buttons undone when wearing shirts. He glanced down at the hem, which hung just past his thighs. Still, it wasn’t long enough to cover the shorts he was wearing.

The faint, fabric-softener-like scent told Klai that Panli had washed the shirt for him. It was clear Panli had prepared thoroughly, likely eager to see him wear it. Refusing might disappoint the big pup, so Klai decided to indulge him for the night. He tossed the T-shirt piled on the floor into a wicker basket and stepped out to wait for Panli on the balcony. Tilting his head, he gazed at the crescent moon shining vividly against the dark sky. The atmosphere reminded him of times he secretly watched “Sasim” from afar, confiding his feelings to the moon every night and occasionally sending messages through that same moon.

Fresh from the bathroom, Panli scanned the white bedroom for its owner, his eyes catching on someone in a white shirt standing on the balcony. A faint smile spread across his face as he strode toward the figure.

But Klaijai, engrossed in the moon above, didn’t notice his surroundings. Panli slipped his arms around the smaller figure from behind, asking, “Looking at the moon?”

The small figure, enveloped in a fresh, fragrant scent, flinched slightly. His sweet face broke into an endearing smile, and Panli nuzzled his nose into the soft cheek.

   Smack~

Klaijai let out a soft laugh before replying, “Yeah… I’m looking at the moon.”

“Which moon does you like more?” Panli asked, pointing at the crescent moon in the dark sky. He loosened his embrace, gently turning the smaller figure to face him. “…This moon, or that one?”

   “Can I like them equally?”

“Sure… but one of the moons might get jealous.”

Klaijai laughed before saying, “Then I’ll like them equally, because I want to see certain moons get jealous.”

   “You little rascal…”

Even now, Klaijai remained exceptional in Panli’s eyes. He knew exactly how to tease to get a reaction, how to charm, and he was the only one who could read Panli so well.

The smaller figure gave a faint smile as their eyes met, but the smile soon faded like dissipating mist. His thin lips pressed together slightly, and within moments, Klaijai’s eyes began to tremble. Though his nervousness was evident, he didn’t break eye contact even for a second. This told Panli that he was mustering immense courage to say something.

“Panli, I have something to tell you…”
