My Moon, Chapter 33 pg 2
At first, Klai and Phii Dom had only planned for him to “walk up on stage and ask Panli to be his boyfriend.” But after returning from the beach and rethinking it, Klai felt that just doing that wouldn’t be enough. Others might not get to see Puppy flustered. So, he told Phii Dom that he would also sing a song for Panli. Since then, Klai had been secretly practicing the song.
“Phii Fah and Theerak are here,” Phii Real said.
“Dude... you’re so late.”
“Who’d show up to every event like you do?”
“This time, I didn’t show off. Real dragged me here himself.”
“Stop talking so much, you toilet water. Klai, it’s time,” Phii Real said.
“Can I interrupt for a moment, Phii Real...?”
“For my dear little one, always.”
“The little one asked me... not you, red water!”
Klai smiled softly as he watched everyone bickering chaotically. If Panli’s group of friends joined in, Klai thought the conversation would be several times more hectic. Still, he silently thanked everyone in his heart for helping out so wholeheartedly.
“What’s the little one wondering about?”
“I’m not wondering about anything, because before coming down from the rooftop, Phii Fah told me that Phii Real sent a LINE message saying... Klai is going to surprise Panli by asking him to be his boyfriend.”
“...”
“I could guess that Klai and Panli have been close for a while, but I don’t know when the two of them started falling for each other...” Theerak paused, then glanced at Phii Fah standing nearby.
“...I don’t know either.”
“Right, Phii Fah doesn’t know either, just like you.”
Klai smiled softly before saying, “Once I successfully ask Panli to be my boyfriend, I’ll tell you the whole story.”
Theerak nodded, flashing him a bright smile. “Sounds good...”
“...”
“But the reason I interrupted Phii Real is because... I wanted to ask you...”
“...”
“Has you really made up his mind to be Panli’s boyfriend...?”
Klai fell silent. He didn’t need to think hard for an answer, because every feeling in his heart was already a clear response. And Klai knew that Theerak’s question had something deeper hidden within it...
“I’m certain... I will love Panli forever.”
Klai’s response made the person nicknamed “chubby-cheeks,” as Panli liked to call him, break into a wide smile. Theerak nodded slightly before saying…
“I just wanted to say… you didn’t choose the wrong person to love.”
“…”
“Dog-face is a great friend… so I believe he’ll be a great partner too.”
Hidden within Theerak’s questioning words was a “congratulations.” But at this moment, it wasn’t just Theerak offering congratulations. Everyone standing in front of Klai joined in, sending their “congratulations” through smiles and warm gazes. The overwhelming feeling in Klai’s heart prompted him to speak…
“Thank you all so much…”
“…”
“Thank you all for helping make our love complete.”
Klai saw the same kind of smile on everyone’s faces—a smile that conveyed a heartfelt “we’re truly happy for you.”
The initially chaotic atmosphere was softened by the love and goodwill from everyone, making the moment feel warm and cozy. Then, the growing chatter from a group of people gradually drew everyone’s attention.
“Ugh! So puppy, you haven’t even become his boyfriend yet!”
“Yeah! Fooled us for so long.”
“Why are you guys making a big deal? Our friend just skipped a step.”
“Exactly! I’ve been listening to this nonsense for too long.”
“You guys act like if he told the truth, you’d suddenly be blessed with a cute partner like him.”
“For real! Stop being jealous of him and go find your own partners…”
Klai couldn’t help but smile amusedly at Panli’s friends. They were bickering lively as they approached us.
“KhunKlai…”
“KhunKlai!”
“Yes, Boss, yes, Ne,” Klai responded to Panli’s two close friends.
All of Panli’s friends stopped to join their conversation circle. Klai thought that Panli’s friends were already very likable, but seeing them respectfully raise their hands to greet both familiar and unfamiliar seniors made him feel…
They’re all so adorable! :)
“Everyone’s here, so go ahead and follow through with the plan I laid out,” Phii Dom said.
“Okay… I’ll start assigning roles now.”
“Hurry up, Real. I’m worried we’re running out of time,” Phii Fah said, glancing toward the dining area. Everyone, including Klai, followed his gaze and saw Panli, far off, getting up from the table.
“Phii Fah! Is Panli walking this way?” Theerak asked, craning his neck to look.
“Real, Theerak and I will go intercept Panli first, so you need to handle everything as fast as possible.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
Phii Fah grabbed Theerak’s hand, preparing to leave the conversation. But before he went, he added with a serious expression and tone…
“Everyone needs to give it their all… Today, my little brother’s gotta take his partner home.”
“…”
“Got it?”
“…”
“Got it!” Everyone responded in unison, except for Klai, who was too shy to speak, knowing he was the one about to be “taken home.”
Klai thought the atmosphere felt like a military camp with a commander giving orders. Once the commander, Phii Fah, led his partner away from the area, the deputy commander, Real, took over…
