For now, Panli could only sigh again and close his eyes. But not long after, he felt movement. When he opened his eyes, he saw Little Moon get up and move to the foot of the bed. Then Mama Klai slowly shifted closer, wrapping one arm around him and nuzzling his face into his chest.

“What did you say to make Little Moon move to the foot of the bed?”
Klai laughed softly before saying, “I just told him… Little Moon, please give me some time to hug Papa, who’s feeling a bit neglected.”
“I’m not neglected… I just want to get cozy with Mama Klai.”
“That’s what being neglected means.”
“But I still love Little Moon just as much.”
Klai laughed and said, “Saying that… you’re afraid your boy won’t love you, aren’t you?”
