The Next Prince, Special Chapter 3 pg1

Special Chapter 3: Can’t help falling in love.

The image reflected in the large mirror in front of Khanin is himself in a luxurious tuxedo, with a white carnation pinned to his chest.

His natural hairdo that he used to let loose has been set nicely, and his face is slightly adorned with makeup to look suitable for the important work event in the morning.

The young man adjusted his small bow tie, even though the angle was already perfect, and then swept his eyes to check his neatness before stepping back to take another look at the overall picture.

Khanin is now ready for his own wedding, yes... you heard it correctly. Today is his important day, but the young man doesn’t know much about the schedule. Except that... today he has the task of dressing up to look his best, waiting for his father to come and take him to meet his own groom.

Emmaly’s wedding ceremony was based on international wedding customs, but the person proposing the marriage had to prepare everything themselves, which Charan did without fail.

So, besides knowing which day they would be getting married, how to dress, where to choose the venue, and who to invite, Khanin doesn’t know anything else. Because Charan doesn’t want to tire him out.

“It will be an easy and comfortable wedding like what you want... You don't have to prepare anything, everything is my responsibility.” Charan said this two days before the wedding when they discussed this matter cordially.

It’s an easy job. Truly because there are no wedding cards, no invitations to people who are not close, and no official announcements, those who will attend this event must be truly important to both sides.

At first, Khanin was worried that it might become too much of a burden on Charan to manage everything alone, but when he saw him so willing and enthusiastic, he didn’t want to hinder the happiness of his loved one.

Actually, Khanin had only recently learned about the details of his own wedding, starting from the day he was proposed to. As soon as he put on the ring, he jumped for joy and rushed back home.

He intended to tell his father, to surprise him that his son would soon be the partner of his beloved person, but where did he end up? He was surprised when he met Tarin, sitting comfortably talking with Tanattai in the house.

On the table, there was a lot of food arranged as if it was some kind of feast, which actually was the food prepared to celebrate his engagement.

He recalled that day, both confused and surprised, and even asked some silly questions like, how did dad come and why didn’t anyone say anything, which made the person he asked respond with a joke...

“I came by plane, and I am happy for Nin.”

Are you ready to harvest the ginger and place it in front of us?

“Is the ring beautiful? Charan came to consult with me, who recommended a jeweler to make the ring himself.” Tarin’s father spoke and asked him to show the ring on his left hand to Tanattai, while Charan walked over to the side.

After the conversation, they all sat and ate the meal that Tanattai had prepared for us until we were almost full. We ended the day separately and went to sleep dreaming beautiful dreams.

He didn’t know anything, and it was surprising and suspicious that Charan had been planning to propose for a long time.

With suspicion that night, Khanin washed and scrubbed himself and confirmed that Charan had prepared everything before approaching him. Khanin just found out that Charan was planning to propose in the middle of the night with beautiful decorative lights around the wedding event venue near his home.

But in the end, it didn’t happen because the appearance of Rachel made Khanin restless. Charan apologized and promised to make amends on the wedding day.

Khanin’s lover promised that at their wedding, it would be as Khanin liked, and they would discuss and make decisions together.

The ceremony would be held in a garden, simple, comfortable, not chaotic, with minimal rituals.

Khanin smiled and looked down at the ring on his left finger with pleasure as he reflected on the events that had passed.

Lightly colored lips smiled gently as a small heart beat when the sound of a violin began to play a love song passing through the door of the dressing room.

It was a sign that the wedding ceremony was about to begin soon.

   “Is the groom ready?.”

“Father.” Khanin’s face lit up when he heard the new arrival, and the young man walked over to Tanattai, who had just opened the door, and pulled his hand. At this time, Khanin’s adoptive father was in an official suit, his mustache trimmed, and he came with Tarin, his birth father who carried a bunch of white roses behind him.

“Congratulations, son.” Tanattai nodded lightly, his middle aged eyes scanning the little boy’s small frame, smiling with pride that he had the opportunity to be part of the important day that he had taken care of and supported. all along.

   “Thank you.”

   “I’m happy too, son.”

Khanin smiled broadly, turned to receive the flower bouquet from his father and walked over to embrace the other party. The hugged person paused for a moment before gently hugging back.

“I am happy. Really happy.” The young man thought that way, looking away from the faded smile on the faces of both fathers, what could be better than having the person he loved accompanying him on such an important day.

In the past, Khanin had thought that having Tanattai as his father alone would make him happy, but when he met Tarin, he realized that he could be even happier.

Tears of joy welled up in his eyes, trickling down his clear cheeks. However, his father quickly raised his hand to wipe them away.

Khanin kissed their faces before hugging both of their strong arms. From now on, the schedule was determined; the father would have to lead the groom to deliver himself to the other groom who was about to begin.

He was excited, and even more excited when the actual situation arrived...

“It’s time to go to work, let’s go.”

The open green garden had been transformed into a beautifully simple wedding venue, adorned with white carnations and pink roses. Chairs made of brown wood were arranged for the guests to sit in.

A specially commissioned large door stood in the center of the walkway leading from the event to the ceremonial stage. A tall young man in a tuxedo with folded hands stood waiting in front of the booth.

Sweet violin music played slowly and softly as guests began to take their seats. Charan, the main protagonist of today’s event, wiped the sweat from his palms and looked around nervously until the person next to him greeted him.

“I’ve never seen him this excited before, give him a napkin to wipe his hands.” Vetis, a friend of the groom, turned to grab a napkin from Itti, another groomsman, and handed it to Charan.

“You might have never seen it before, but it was love at first sight. He never had a girlfriend before this and all of a sudden he fell in love and is getting married.” Itti, the owner of the napkin, laughed out loud.

“Try dressing up yourself to see why you are so excited.” Charan began to ignore their snickering and turned his attention elsewhere.

With his eyes fixed on the white door in front of the event, he waited anxiously for the other groom to enter. Everyone had taken their seats, and the main presiding officer, Prince Chana, stood at the forefront.

“Khanin is about to come, and Charan will hand him the flowers that his friend will hold before they kiss and exchange vows.”

“Your Majesty.” Charan received the words from the elder. His heart was beating fast.

He wanted to see Khanin’s face when he walked in, curious as to what preparations he had made for this day.

The venue was a garden with big trees. The white flowers were not identified, but they were a good omen and were given as flower candy. In the small crystal glass, the guests at the event were just a few close friends who had passed through the sword and shield association and the group of people who had spent time together in Emma.

How happy that kid would be.

“He has arrived, he is walking in.”

Whispers from beside him called Charan’s attention, and he looked at his partner walking arm in arm with both of their fathers.

At that moment, their eyes met. The image and atmosphere surrounding them made them both emotional.
