The Next Prince, Special Chapter 4 pg2
“Thank you.”
“Try it and see if it’s delicious.” Because Charan was the one who made dinner, Khanin wanted to serve. The young man stood eagerly waiting for an answer, and Charan became the drink critic while the young man waited eagerly.
“I already know it’s delicious.”
“Try it before you decide. No one has tried it before you except father and me.” The younger one urged the elder while nodding. Charan lifted the cup to his mouth, sipping the sweetness that contained some bitterness at the end.
“It’s delicious, really delicious. Perhaps because Khanin knows I don’t like overly sweet drinks, foods, or desserts, he made this hot chocolate not overly sweet.”
“Do you like it? Is it tasty?” The question was asked when someone else remained silent for a long time.
Charan smiled, lifted the glass in his hand and drank until it was empty, before using his warm tongue to lick around his lips and lowered his head slightly to whisper a few words that Khanin had never heard before.
“It’s yummy, but...”
“But...”
“But Nin… you are even more delicious.”
…
Music from loudspeakers created a lively atmosphere in the water side resort garden, where a celebration was underway to congratulate the new home owner and welcome the return of Khanin and Charan.
Tarin, Tanattai, and Chakri were the first to arrive followed by Vetis and Itti with Miss Mira. Shortly after, Ramil and Petai came together before Evaa and a group of Thawetmetha’s bodyguards arrived.
“I brought a gift from my father.” A medium sized gift box was sent over to Charan, the young lady smiled at the older man and nephew before sending a smile to those around her. “Congratulations Khun Charan.”
“Thank you, it’s very kind of you.”
“Thank you, Evaa. How are you? Let me know if anything’s missing.” Today’s party wasn’t overly big, but the food was adequate and comfortable.
Charan and Khanin decided to recruit Tarin’s staff to help manage the catering so the owner of the adjacent house didn’t have to worry too much.
Evaa had left and disappeared into the garden, just as a luxurious convoy pulled over. Khanin turned to look and Charan didn’t have time to ask before the imposing figure of someone appeared.
Kalavin Li and Jirat, together?
Khanin frowned slightly at the arrival of these two gentlemen, he had many questions in his mind, unlike Charan who remained calm and composed as before.
“Long time no see Khun Charan, Young Prince Khanin.”
“Nice to see you again, Prince Kalavin.” Khanin smiled as a good host, although he grabbed the wrong end of the relationship between the two men.
“Here’s a cake, congratulations to Young Prince and Khun Charan for the new house.” Jirat said, handing over a cake box, then the staff on Kalavin’s side came to take it and place it on the table along with other snacks from the Homestay.
“These first two boxes are from Jae. I ordered the rest to be added.” Khanin clarified why there were several boxes of sweets, but what was more surprising was the pseudonym Prince Kalavin had chosen to call Jirat.
Jae seemed too intimate a name to call someone when uttered by someone who would start a name with a Mister or Khun; these two men were together more often. Interesting.
“Thank you very much, KhunJae.”
Jirat smiled more relaxedly when it came to socializing, unlike during their earlier meetings.
“Nice to meet you.”
“I’m currently delivering sweets from Niran’s Homestay to the people in the royal family. I happened to arrange to talk to Jae today, so I came here with him.”
The conversation finally reached a point that Khanin was interested in. The young boy eagerly accepted, before turning his gaze to the person with greenish gray eyes like a baby deer.
“Prince’s help was very much appreciated, he even promoted the pastries and brought customers to the homestay.” Jirat supplemented with relaxing gestures, the former stage actor’s features softened.
One reason why his financial status and quality of life had improved by leaps and bounds was due to the assistance from Kalavin.
Initially, even Jirat did not trust this person much. However, as time passed and proven by actions, Kalavin seemed to not want anything other than to help and support the pastry business.
“Jae’s pastries were delicious, and the accommodation was peaceful so people didn’t make a fuss. I really liked it.”
Prince said it that way, and Jirat did not think about it anymore, after Kalavin fled work and chaos, to ‘Nirand Homestay.’ Being there often made it clear that the state itself was chaotic.
Perhaps it’s true...
“What do you think?” A question arose after the last important guest arrived at the party.
Khanin briefly pondered and then replied to Charan.
“Prince Kalavin is definitely interested in Jae.” At this point, Khanin reflected on one of his own remarks, combined with the previous actions of this prince from a different country, it became even more evident.
“...It's actually worth considering that princes seem to enjoy being sneaky and popping up unexpectedly, so why not become a sponsor to their love. What else would we do if they're not coming up with ideas? If not with Nin, then with someone else. That's our team's way.”
It’s just like this, isn’t it...
“But Jae doesn’t know... The job is difficult.” Charan glanced and saw that
