My Moon, Chapter 9 pg 2
“…”
“Because there aren’t many stars in the sky these days.”
Klai pointed at himself with a confident expression and said, “Me, of course… I’ll always be there for the moon. I might sneak off to sleep sometimes, but I never abandon the moon, not even for a day. I still go out to look at the moon from the balcony every day.”
Panli laughed delightedly, then tilted his head to rest it close to Klai’s. “KhunKlai, you are so adorable.”
Right now, it feels like his heart might stop beating…
“…”
“It seems like KhunKlai really loves the moon, huh?”
Klai nodded while slipping his phone into his pant pocket. Moon gave him space by moving back, the large hand that had once shaded him from the sun now resting at the tall figure’s side.
“At first, I just liked you, but now…” Klai glanced at Moon briefly before looking down at the ground. “I’ve fallen in love with the moon.”
“Have you ever thought about falling for the sun or something else instead of the moon, KhunKlai?” Panli asked.
The question slowed Klai’s steps. He looked up, meeting Panli’s eyes to find an answer for himself. But just seeing the sparkle in those eyes and the smile beside him, the answer flooded his mind.
“If it was just liking, I could probably change my heart. But I’ve already fallen for the moon… Taking that love back from the moon wouldn’t be easy.”
The listener smiled, seemingly pleased with the response, before saying, “I think… if the moon knew someone as cute as you had fallen for it, the moon wouldn’t give that love back. Instead, it’d find ways to make you fall even deeper.”
Klai let out a soft laugh at Moon’s adorable thought, unaware that someone had fallen for him.
“Honestly, the moon doesn’t need to find ways to make me fall deeper. Just being the same moon already makes me love it more every day.”
Panli gave a faint smile before gently pinching Klai’s nose. “Those words… they really make me want to tease you.”
Embarrassed, Klai wrinkled his nose at Panli and poked his thick arm in retaliation. He poked again, several times, when he saw Panli laughing with delight.
“Take that!”
“Getting back at me, huh?” Panli asked.
“Yup… getting back at the tease.”
“Besides Chubby Cheeks… I don’t want to tease anyone else,” Moon said, lightly biting his lower lip as he often did. “Until I met you… let me tease you a little, okay?”
Just imagining himself as a still doll for Panli to tease made Klai so shy he felt like exploding. He shook his head in refusal. “No way… I won’t let you tease me.”
The one who’d just rejected Moon out of embarrassment stepped into the faculty building, heading straight for the elevator, with the tall, teasing figure stopping beside him.
“Just a little…”
Klai turned to the person flashing a smile and asked, “Are you pleading?”
“Yup, pleading.”
Klai laughed softly. “Plead all you want, I’m not letting you tease me.”
Ding!
As the elevator chime sounded, the doors slid open. The tall figure, chuckling with amusement, reached for Klai’s hand, pulling him into the elevator. He pressed the close-door button immediately before letting go. Everything happened so fast that Klai was left dazed.
Right now, Klai is no different from a soft, fluffy doll that Panli carries around…
Sasin can place Klaijai wherever they want.
Just don’t leave him in a dark room… because Klaijai is afraid of ghosts.
“Which floor is your class on, kha?”
“I’m on the eighth floor.”
“Okay, kha.”
Moon nodded and pressed the button for the floor, then turned to give him a smile. Klai furrowed his brows slightly as he noticed the control panel, where only one floor had been selected. Thinking they might have forgotten their own errand, he spoke up to remind them.
“Panli, didn’t you need to select the floor for your errand?”
“Oh… I already did, kha. I have an errand on the eighth floor.”
“Same floor as me?”
“Yes, kha.”
Klai nodded, though he was still curious. Every room on the eighth floor of this building was used exclusively for Aviation Business students, and it was rare for students from other majors to use the classrooms here.
But then he thought that Panli, being someone with quite a few friends, was probably just stopping by to visit a friend in the same major as him. With that in mind, Klai decided not to question Panli further.
“KhunKlai…”
“Yes?”
“The burn on your chest…” Panli said, pointing at Klai’s chest, “has it healed, kha?”
“Oh… it’s much better, but there’s still a mark. I’m applying medicine every day now.”
“Good, kha.”
